CPSA was founded in 1943 from several local liquor retail organizations and soon became recognized as a powerful association at the legislature and before regulatory agencies. As membership grew, the slogan, “No one of us… Is as strong as all of us,” became the mantra of CPSA. The organization has since evolved, providing many additional services than what was offered in the early days.
